FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are there any other ways this resource can be used?

Yes! These activity mats are also perfect for entry tasks and/or independent math centers.

Do students need anything besides a whiteboard marker to complete the activities?

Many of the math and writing activities require a simple spinner. Plastic spinners, or a pencil and a paperclip, can be used.

Is it best to use laminated copies of the mats or place them in erasable pockets?

Both options work, but we recommend purchasing a class set of Wipe-Off pockets. We began using laminated copies because we didn’t have the money for a class set of Wipe-Off pockets. However, they didn’t clean up super well so we purchased Wipe-Off pockets as soon as we could. They are MUCH easier to keep clean.

If students erase their work, how do I know they practiced correctly?

Good question! If time allows, we do a quick check before they erase.
