With this unit your students will learn about vampire bats and flying fox bats, as well as compare and contrast the two different bats. They will engage in nonfiction poetry reading as well as a fictional chant. Students will write an opinion piece and engage in a directed drawing activity while they label and learn about bat anatomy. They will write a Stellaluna retell. We have also included bat jokes and an adorable bat pointer for your students to take home to their families and share their learning. Your students will LOVE learning all about this fascinating animal!
